About Us
Every child deserves and needs a complete education. At Tualatin Elementary, we believe each child’s education consists of three important elements:
The Head – what the child knows and understands,
The Heart – what the child feels and is passionate about and,
The Hands – what the child is able to do or perform with what is in their head and heart.
We are committed to provide opportunities that support “Head, Heart and Hands” for each and every one of our students.
Our school has 468 students. In our school 54% of our families qualify for free or reduced lunch. Many of our students have not been able to afford enrichment activities.
Tualatin Elementary Arts Foundation (T.E.A.F.) is a school enrichment program with emphasis on academics and the arts. It is designed to provide children with a variety of artistic, cultural, academic, recreational classes and clubs. All activities take place beyond the regular school day at Tualatin Elementary School. Our first term began in September 2002.
Current literature indicates increased time with the arts raises student scores, and increases school attendance. For those reasons, T.E.A.F. thinks it makes good sense to offer enrichment classes. An Executive Arts Committee and an Advisory Staff Committee provide leadership and direction for T.E.A.F.
Our Goals
• Enhancing classroom learning
• Making productive use of after school hours
• Increasing peer relationships
• Providing opportunities for students to explore areas of personal interest
• Increase community participation for students, families, and volunteers

T.E.A.F. expects students to cooperate, participate, follow directions, attend regularly, enjoy art, and HAVE FUN!
